Hector L. Salcedo, M.D.

Dr. Hector L. Salcedo is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician who has more than a decade of experience in general medical care. In addition, Dr. Salcedo is certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Salcedo has 14 years of experience in dermatology procedures, primary care, laser treatments, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. Dr. Salcedo cares for patients for all ages. 

Dr. Salcedo’s expertise includes a variety of treatments such as: Primary care, Varicose and Spider Veins Therapy, Acne Treatments, Botox®, and Laser treatments. His approach to patient care is simple: He truly values and respects each patient, all while being available and ensuring a partnership approach to his patient’s medical care. 

Dr. Salcedo was born and raised in Illinois. He earned his Medical Degree at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he graduated medical school with honors cum laude. He then returned to Chicago where he was Chief Resident in the Department of Family Medicine at Swedish Covenant Hospital where he completed his training. Dr. Salcedo then went to on to pursue a second specialty in Venous in Lymphatic Medicine. 

Dr. Salcedo maintains affiliations with several leading hospitals including: Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Swedish Covenant Hospital, Presence St. Mary’s and Elizabeth Medical Center, and Norweigan American Hospital. Dr. Salcedo holds positions as a Clinical Educator at Rush Medical College, Swedish Hospital of North Shore University Health Systems, & Norwegian American Hospital, where he has actively been involved in the education of medical students and residents.
