Position: Medical Assistant (Bilingual in English and Spanish)

Key Responsibilities:
- Triaging Patients: Accurately take and record patients’ vitals, including weight, height, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Lab Results: Communicate lab results to patients and provide necessary follow-up instructions.
- Medication Reconciliation: Review and document patients’ medication lists for accuracy.
- Cleaning Equipment: Ensure all medical equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized.
- EKG: Perform electrocardiograms (EKG) as needed.
- Administering Vaccinations: Safely administer vaccinations to patients.
- Referrals: Create and obtain authorization for patient referrals.
- Exam Room Maintenance: Stock and clean exam rooms to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Procedure Assistance: Assist the provider with excisions and laser procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with Athena electronic medical record system is a plus.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
